These dazzling beauties drop from elongated sterling silver ear wires, measuring 6cm top to bottom. The earrings are crafted from lustrous Shell Pearls.
SHELL PEARL - also known as mother of pearl bead, is laboratory made by shaping a piece of oyster shell. The raw material for the base of the pearl is the sea shell, which is coated and polished to the final shape of the pearl. In order to produce a good quality pearl a key ingredient is what we call “a mother of pearl”, also known as Nacre. This element adds weight, value and durability. The manual production of the shell pearl enables the manufacturer to determine the shape, size, and colour, thus making the final result seem perfect. Shell pearls are not made of wax, plastic, glass, fish scales, or other inexpensive materials commonly used to make imitation pearls.
