DRUZY QUARTZ- Also spelt as Drusy or Drusie, is a thin layer of sparkling quartz crystals covering the surface of a host stone, also found in a pocket within a stone. One good example of Druzy is the sprinkle of crystals filled inside the cavity of a geode. Probably the most common druzy is quartz, which can be vapor-coated with various materials, such as real gold and platinum, or the metal titanium, which comes in different colours. Natural druzy can be white, or come in a variety of colours: pink, green, rare lavender or blue, and rust-red. These and other natural colours arise from the minerals on which the crystals are based. The crystals flash a thousand points of light as the stone is moved. In some drusies, the colour underlies clear crystals, while in others, the crystals themselves are coloured. Titanium Druzy are Druzy that are Titanium coated. This gives them a permanent metal coating in a spectacular play of colours from bottle green to magenda to violet blue. Titanium Druzies are believed to originated in US. Druzy Quartz is said to aid in balancing and increasing energy.
FRESHWATER PEARL- is an organic gem grown within oysters. Pearls are formed naturally by an oyster when a foreign object enters the shell and causes irritation to its soft tissue. The oyster forms a secretion around the object as a form of protection. The foreign object can be a number of different things including a grain of sand or a parasite. In time the coating builds up in iridescent layers. Cultured pearls are produced by artificially introducing a foreign object into the fleshy part of oysters, which become coated with nacre in a similar manner to natural pearl. Pearls are considered to offer a power of love, money, protection and luck. Pearls thought to give wisdom though experience and to cement engagement and love relationship.
SAPPHIRE-the name "Sapphire" usually evokes images of the colour blue; however, sapphire appears in many other colours as well, like green, pink and orange. Sapphire actually refers to all varieties of the mineral corundum, with the exception of those occurring in medium to dark tones of reds. For centuries there were differences of opinion among the specialists as to which stones deserved to be called sapphires. Finally, it was agreed that the ruby-red ones, coloured by chrome, should be called 'rubies' and all those which were not ruby-red 'sapphires'. Pink coloured sapphires are highly prized by women due to their elegance and feminine charm. Its powers include spiritual enlightenment and inner peace. Sapphire is believed to offer healing properties for rheumatism, colic and mental illness. Sapphire is the official birthstone for September.
